Bring History Alive with the
Electronic Field Trip Series

Teach American history with Colonial Williamsburg's The Electronic Field Trip Series, 2011-2012. These live Internet events and television broadcasts bring American history to life in your classroom. The 2011-2012 season includes seven live, interactive lessons and accompanying supplemental materials that explore the ratification of the US Constitution, Westward expansion, The War of 1812, slavery, as well as the rights of women and youth.

The Electronic Field Trip

The Electronic Field Trip provides on-demand interactive resources for your students to explore the past in a way that engages them and makes American history relevant to their lives today.

  • Immerse students in authentic historical content that has been correlated to American history standards
  • Build civics, history and literacy skills
  • Infuse distance learning into the differentiated classroom
  • Fill information gaps and enhance background knowledge

The live Internet events and television broadcast is accompanied by online voting; video previews; message boards; interactive, multidisciplinary student lessons; teaching resources; primary sources; and more. The broadcast is also available as streaming video, on-demand 24/7 to use when it fits your curriculum.
